Wedding Inspirations

Couples who place importance on personalisation are advocates of perfecting the little details that make their wedding stand out from the crowd. One element that is getting much attention of late is the wedding cake.

Traditionally, many have just made do with the ceremonial wedding cake that comes with a hotel's banqueting package. However, the act of cutting into a 'dummy' cake is increasingly becoming an unlikely proposition nowadays, particularly among more well-travelled, well-read, refined urbanites. Instead, they want a cake that has been created by a cake designer, based somewhat on their input. Essentially, a wedding cake that to some extent reflects their personal style and taste as well as the theme of the wedding - something meaningful.

The notion that such wedding cakes make a huge dent on the budget is not necessarily a valid one. Sure, some exquisite creations can run up to several thousand ringgit. But it is also possible to have one made for a few hundred ringgit as well. Factors such as complexity of design, size, lead time, flavour and icing then come into play during discussions on cost.
