Dressing The Bridesmaids

Apr 26, 2017

For many ladies, being asked to be a bridesmaid is indeed an honour, as it is often a rite of passage for the bride to have either her sisters, cousins or good friends by her side as she walks down the aisle.

Some ideas :

  • Similar colour palette for all bridesmaids.
  • To have some uniformity in photos, it is best that all dresses be in the same silhouette.
  • The A-line cut flatters most body types and should be considered if you are having a number of bridesmaids with varying body shapes.
  • Perhaps offer your bridesmaids a choice in necklines as a way of personalisation.

A few tips :

  • Brides-to-be, it is best that you exert control and have the final say on the design and colour of the dresses for your bridesmaids.
  • If you are particular about design details, cut and shades of colour, then perhaps the custom route is preferable.
  • If placing custom orders, ensure that you start early, so that there is sufficient lead time for fittings and alterations.
