Get Inspired

Samui Beckons

Jan 01, 2019

Spectacular and panoramic vistas, a beachfront location on an island, beautifully designed surrounds that are an ode to the natural landscape – attributes that are perfect for a pre-wedding shoot or a destination wedding. Indeed, when a couple, their wedding planner and photographer are equally inspired, a memorable wedding and artistic imagery are often the resultant outcomes.

Issues to consider for a pre-wedding shoot :

  • Cost of travel and accommodation for your entourage, including photographer and makeup artist.
  • Frequency of flights.
  • The shoot itinerary and the duration of stay required.
  • Time of year in order to coincide with good weather conditions.

If you are contemplating a destination wedding, then discuss the following :

  • The size of your guest list i.e. the numbers you are comfortable with.
  • Who pays for your immediate family?
  • Does everyone stay at the same resort or are other options available for your guests?
  • The setting for the ceremony as well as the dinner reception.
  • A buffet or a plated sit-down dinner?
  • Type of cuisine to serve.
  • The resort’s policy on music and dancing, particularly if you plan to party late into the night.
