A Necessary Consult

Sep 26, 2017

Some brides-to-be have the habit of shopping around via email and social media, sending messages to designers to gather quotes as part of their planning process. However, the wise thing to do is really to arrange for an appointment for a consultation as there is no substitute for a face-to-face consult.

Why meet in person?

  • The designer will be able to offer you advice on silhouettes once they have seen you in person.
  • There is an opportunity to discuss fabric types, construction methods as well as embellishments, and these contribute to the cost of the gown.
  • If you have a particular budget in mind, a creative designer will be able to suggest alternatives to meet your budget.

Also, take into consideration the following :

  • Appropriate undergarments for necessary support and also to complement the design of your evening gown.
  • Determine the height of your heels as this will affect the hemline of your gown.
  • Discuss what options there are for accessories based on the design of your gown.
