Taking The Cue

Sep 01, 2018

Where you host your wedding celebrations will very much determine the type of setting, décor and ambience that will enhance the venue.

More often than not, such a celebration will be held at either one of the following :

  • Houses of worship.
  • Landscaped grounds of a resort.
  • Hotel ballroom.
  • Convention centre.
  • Restaurant.
  • Poolside.

The amount of decorations necessary to ‘dress up’ the venue will depend on :

  • The setting of the outdoor location.
  • The architecture and interior design of the venue.
  • What is already included in the package.
  • The theme of your wedding.
  • The formality of the occasion.

And here is where the role of a professional decorator will come into play, someone who will be able to take the cue from what the venue offers and enhance it into the vision that you have in mind.

Discuss the following with the decorator :

  • Budget.
  • Your ideas.
  • Their suggestions.
  • Wedding theme.
