Translation Of Ideas

Jun 28, 2017

The collaboration between the wedding planner and appointed vendors is an important one as this is where the ideas generated between the couple and the planner are translated into actual representations be it wedding attire, stationery, cake and the like.

Such a translation of ideas is most clearly seen in wedding décor. Perhaps this is so because of its visual nature, whereby the overall wedding theme is manifested right through to the little details that make a wedding personal and memorable.

A few tips :

  • Communicate ideas clearly and thoroughly.
  • Perhaps offer sketches or a mood board as a visualisation tool.
  • Let the planner have overall thematic control but leave the creative process to the experts.
  • Discuss budgets and rely on the creativity of the professionals to stretch it to the maximum effect.
