Accented Pastels

Aug 01, 2019

The romantics among us would often go for designs in pastels when it comes to wedding cakes. From the purest of whites to the colour of the sky and the shade of cotton candy, the creativity of the modern cake designer knows no boundaries. In fact, many tend to accent their pastel creations for some contrast.

Such accents can take the form of some of the following :

  • Icing in strong colours.
  • Natural materials such as flowers, herbs, fruits and the like.
  • Piping details.
  • Sugar paste florals.

Do take note of the following when budgeting for your wedding cake :

  • Cost increases in proportion to the amount of handwork required.
  • Do you intend to serve the cake to all your guests?
  • The quality of ingredients used by your designer in their recipe.
