Custom Or Otherwise

Nov 01, 2018

Whether a bride decides to custom or rent her wedding gown invariably depends on a number of factors. Suffice to say however, that the bridal gown is one of the most important components of a couple’s wedding plan.

Choosing either one route or the other depends on some of the following :

  • Budget allocated for the gown.
  • How particular the bride is when it comes to the design of the gown.
  • The lead time available prior to the pre-wedding shoot or actual wedding day.

Rent :

  • Check if there is any need for a security deposit.
  • Determine duration of rent and when it needs to be returned in order not to incur additional rental cost.
  • When selecting gowns, be sure to find out time required for alterations.

Custom :

  • Check price points and see if your budget permits.
  • Give your designer sufficient time, especially if the design involves a lot of handwork.
  • Ask if they offer a buy-back option with a rebate after the wedding.
