than 15 years. I was doing freelance bridal makeup
and hairstyling while holding a full time beauty
trainer position with a few cosmetic companies.
I started Beauty Haven in November 2000.

are some of the services you offer?
Bridal
makeup and hairstyling. Customised facial treatment.
Aromatherapy body massage. Aromatic body scrub.
Waxing. Pedicure and manicure. Makeup lessons.
Yoga.
Are
weddings a major part of your business?
Yes.
It contributes 30 % of our total business. We
have 2 makeup artists, including myself, providing
these services.
Do
you only do makeup or do you do hair as well?
We
do both. We specialise in natural looking bridal
makeup as well as timeless and elegant haistyling.
How
far ahead should brides book makeup artists and
hairstylists?
Depending on the chosen wedding date. If it
is during peak season, at least 6 months ahead.
If not, 2 to 3 months will suffice.
Any
advice for brides-to-be?
Take
the holistic approach. In order to look good -
eat well, sleep well, exercise and have a good
skincare regime. You will notice the natural glow.
There is a huge difference between natural looking
makeup on healthy skin and heavy makeup on problematic,
tired skin. And, always arrange for a trial session.
