Underwater Wedding In The City

Contemplating an underwater wedding ceremony is definitely a possibility for hardcore divers. Malaysia is blessed with many a pristine diving spot to hold such a unique wedding - Redang, Tioman, Rawa, Sipadan, just to name a few. However, having your entire entourage traveling all the way to the island and packing them onto a vessel may seem like a lot of hassle.

The solution? 'Underwater Weddings' in the city! The underwater wedding ceremony held in a swimming pool, is by far a simpler and cheaper alternative. Also, after the ceremony, the couple, together with their family and friends can have their reception at the hotel itself. The way the ceremony is conducted is entirely up to the couple and it is really a matter of preference. Some couples may want to go through the stringent marriage procedures with witnesses and a Minister of Marriage, while others may just want to have a simple ceremony where they exchange their vows and kiss - minus the Minister of Marriage. Whatever the choice of ceremony the couple decides on, adequate preparation should be done with a wedding planner. The dive logistics team will also study its viability from a safety point of view.

Couples who are non-divers may also take part in such a ceremony as they will be taught the basic skills required to do so. Equipment rental, underwater digital photography, and a Minister of Marriage can also be arranged. Family members or friends who do not wish to get into the water will not miss the action either, as underwater video and cable equipment allows projection of the ceremony 'live' onto a screen.

Tip : Leave decisions on flower décor, hair and makeup to the experts as they know best, particularly in view of such a unique wedding scenario.
