Catering Your Function

May 01, 2020

With smaller, more personal wedding celebrations a rising trend, we have seen soon-to-be-wed couples booking out more intimate wedding venues to host their wedding reception. For the most part, these venues provide the event space, audio visual equipment, sometimes even tables and chairs, and leave the organisation of the caterers to the couples as well as their wedding planners.

When selecting a wedding caterer, do consider the following :

  • Their reputation and track record as well as experience in catering weddings.
  • Menu selection and price points.
  • What ancillary services they may offer e.g. table and chair rental, canopies and the like.
  • The service staff they can provide; delve into dressing and presentation as well.

Other factors to contemplate :

  • Type of service i.e.sit-down with plated service, buffet, cocktails and canapes only and so forth.
  • Décor for buffet stations and table settings, even the overall ambience if canopies are involved.
  • Establishing trust and collaborative effort between your caterer and your wedding planner as well as decorator.
