Wed On The East Coast

Jun 01, 2020

Our country certainly offers many locales for destination weddings. In fact, with the current difficulties related to regional and overseas travel, our own homegrown resorts will be more popular than ever when it comes to hosting destination weddings. Indeed, being typically smaller and more personal celebrations, such weddings are perfect examples of how this milestone in life can still take place, albeit perhaps with an adjustment to the number of invited guests.

Some tips when choosing a destination :

  • Sometimes, the path less travelled could be a better option as it will be a more unique experience for both you as a couple as well as your guests; better suited to those with an adventurous spirit.
  • Easy access, be it by air, road and sea.
  • A scenic location will provide breathtaking backdrops for wedding photography.
  • Ensure that weather conditions are good in relation to the time of year when you have chosen to get married.

What about selecting a resort :

  • If you plan to have a beach wedding, a beach with exclusive access for the resort’s guests will be ideal.
  • Contemplate their wedding packages and rates; is your planned budget sufficiently reasonable?
