A Step At A Time As The Day Unfolds

Feb 01, 2020

In order to capture your wedding day as it unfolds, your wedding photographer will need to take the process one step at a time. He or she ought to be left to his or his devices, applying their respective artistic talents to create images that will document this milestone in your life.

To be able to do so freely, your wedding photographer will need to have the run-down of your wedding day in detail. Provide them with the necessary information well in advance so that they can prep thoroughly. And once they are organised well, their attention and concentration will be solely on covering your wedding in the best way possible.

Some suggestions :

  • Appoint a family member to gather relatives for group shots after the wedding ceremony, based on a roll call you have prepared in advance.
  • Have a friend do the same for your other guests.
  • Inform your photographer if the house of worship you are getting married in has any policies to adhere to.
  • Make an announcement to have your guests not block your photography team.
  • Make arrangements for your photographer to visit your venues prior to the wedding day so that they may get a better idea of lighting conditions, angles and so forth.

A few words of advice :

  • Have all your wedding vendors collaborate and coordinate with each other.
  • Introduce them prior to the wedding so that they can sort out logistics if necessary.
  • Hire a wedding planner to assist you and to coordinate all your vendors.
