Get Inspired

A Planned Frame

Jan 01, 2020

Planning ahead for pre-wedding shoots will yield wonderful results. A collaboration between the photographer, an assistant, the makeup artist and hair stylist as well as the couple, a carefully planned wedding shoot will enable the photographer to create striking imagery.

Decide on some of the following :

  • An indoor or outdoor shoot, or perhaps a combination of both.
  • Destination of the shoot i.e. the city where you live or travel to a destination inter-state or abroad.
  • Will the shoot take place at one location or various locations? What are the logistics of transport between locations?
  • How many outfits do you plan to wear? Casual or formal or both?
  • If you are travelling to an overseas destination, what time of year would be best in terms of season and weather conditions? Cost of travel and accommodation may also vary.

Some suggestions :

  • Have your wedding photographer propose ideas and see if it catches your fancy.
  • Share some of your own preferences with him or her.
  • Do allocate a reasonable budget for your pre-wedding portraits.
