Wedding Banquet In The New Norm

Aug 01, 2020

Weddings are officially back underway and it is good to see wedding industry practitioners, both vendors as well as venues, adapting to the new protocols set in place in view of the new norm that we are living in. For a wedding venue, the ability and commitment to implementing and adhering to these protocols are indeed confidence boosters for soon-to-be-wed couples as they go about selecting the venue to host their nuptials.

Now more that ever, other than an experienced wedding team, a variety of event spaces and well-regarded cuisine as well as an established reputation, couples will certainly take into account the effort and steps in which such venues have taken to ensure safety and comfort for all those invited to their wedding celebrations.

Some suggestions :

  • Other than your wedding planner, also have your other appointed wedding vendors be part of initial meetings with the hotel’s events team, so that all will be on the same page when it comes to standard operating procedures for wedding banquets.
  • Give due consideration to a venue that has hosted such celebrations recently and which has experience in fine-tuning such protocols.
